"Recording update" and next gig.
Well motherrockers, ... the mixing of the recordings is going really well. More time needed than was expected of course. But we are getting there. We think that the price-quality ratio is incredible good. Our music stays our music. You just like it or not. But we know how much a recording can influence the "feel" for any listener. If you know us ... you know that we want to have the live feel as much as possible.

Gig alert: Saturday 8th of November, The Cave Amsterdam.
Be there and rock out big time with us. We are support act for "Overtures" from Italy. Evening starts at 21:30 or little later. We hope to play a long set of well over an hour.

"Studio update":
We have done our very best over the weekend in tracking our demo. We were very very pleased about the first crude results. We have tracked 8 songs and a special. It will take one week for the first crude mixes are there and than maybe another 2 weeks to finalise it. For a demo we are not going to have it mastered. Too costly for our purpose as we hope more and more of you will check us out live.
The people who know us well know that it is all about the live thing for us.
Rock out big time and have a good time with you!

So ... now it waiting time and we will keep you posted.

Well the N201 was fun. Well organised and nice people and of course big thx to yall who came to check us out. And of course ... big thx to Miss Mantis and Mr.8ball.

This saturday we will start recording. This means ... long day's and lot's of foolishness. We will try to also make such a little docu of the making of the making of.
When we have some results we will let you know.

Some news. First ... we will do our utmost best in the N201 in Aalsmeer. We will be playing together with too great bands "CYANIDE" and "AFTERSHOCK". Doors open at 21:00 hours and the first band will start playing at 21:30 hours. It might be that we are the first band.

More news, ... 20 and 21 august we will record again. We are going to sleep over at the studio, ... most likely have some beers, pizza and things of pleasure ... it will be good fun.
We will make as many foolish vidclips as we can too those day's.

Hey hello you motherrockers. It's way to long ago for an update. So ... here it is. Many of you might be on holiday or are almost packed and ready to go.

For us no holiday as such, ... but even better: We will record, sweat our buts of in the practise room and have a gig at the 25th of July. But that's more or less it. Thus also some holiday's here. We know that some of you will not be able to attend!!! (Damn festivals!!!:-)) But everyone is welcome, so come and party with us. We will play at the HPC in Den Haag. It all starts at 20:00 hours. The evening is with two other bands: "New Age Peasants" and "Tomorrow Starts". The evening will be right for everyone as the styles of all bands are different.
Like always ... We expect lot's of fun.

Yesterday in De Paap was great fun.
We had a great time and we hope and think the rest had too. Thx for showing up on a wednesday and we will post some pictures and on youtube some clips.
We are looking forward in playing there again.

This saturday we will play with two other rocking bands in Voorschoten at The Basement. Doors are early open so be there and join the party with us and the two other bands: Baneblade and Under Destruction.
We expect it to be lot's of fun.

Our gig in Swaf Hoorn was great. No big crowds or anything of that order but pure good rock 'n roll feel in the place with great people. We got very nice reaction of everyone there during and after the show. Big hand to everyone, ... Thx.

Our next gig is Wednesday the 4th of june De Paap in Den Haag. We hope that many of you will again rock out with us.
A "newbee" is that we are thinking about making a "live DVD" in De Paap. But that depends on a lot of things still.

More news is that we will go in the studio again. This will be finalised this summer.

So you mother rockers. We had at our last gig the opportunity to try out some news songs and sofar so good. Still, as so often, some tweaking is needed. But again, it was fun.
But big thx to our loyal friends of the band, to again support us. You rock!!!

Next gig is at Swaf in Hoorn. Which will be lot's of fun for sure.

"De kleine beurs" Hillegom was fun. Of course we play somewhat different style, but we got good responses and our guitar player and front (Wicky) had his most important persons there too. So it made it really special.

This Thursday we will bang hard in "Leiden". Rock cafe Lazarus will be the place. Exact time is not known yet but if you are there no later than 21:00 hours you can rock with us again.

Today ... this afternoon we will play a short set in "De kleine beurs" in Hillegom. It starts at 16:00 and we will play somewhere in time! It will be fun. Hopefully we won't shock too many people. Therefor we will play an little bit more "easy" and "melow" set than other times.

OK motherrockers, it's been big big fun at The Cave, Amsterdam. Amps falling, people having fun. Bas (our rocking drummer) was sick but he still kicked major ass.

The year started ... scary with a big fire in Haarlem. Not only we but many more bands didn't have a practise room anymore ... yet stuff to play on. We were lucky, ... all is OK and we have found a new rocking practise room.

Our historical moment as a powertrio was fun and we believe it will work fine.
This Thursday we will rock Amsterdam at JC Volta.
We will be playing with our mates from Pimpersticker and the evening will be closed by Pitcher. I expect it to be a fun evening and hope you will join us in this little party.

First of alllllll, .... WOW for you support. We will be rocking the stages starting again as of tonight. This will be a historical moment as it will be our first gig as a powertrio. We hope all of you will like it, ... it's different than before but we like it.

Tonight we will be rocking at Get Rhythm in Ridderkerk.
Our lead singer and only guitar player will be high on drugs as he was quite sick the whole week but today at 14:30 hours there was the big "let's do this" for tonight. (By the way, ... these will be legal drugs!!! For a change :-) ) We hope to see some of you. There will be made a live recording of this gig and if this is presentable we will of course put this on line. If it sucks, ... you can buy it for a lot of money.

The drum recordings and bass are done. But ... we are still checking if all is in order to finish it with guitar and vocals.

Well you rockers, ... summer has not come sofar. But we have our first tracks of recording. Bass and guitar are up next. That will be done late august.There after, ... some vocal bashing :-).
For now, ... rock on!

So now the summer is comming up. We will start recording in june for the new line-up and sound. At the very moment we are trying out our own sound. This is now with three and we need to take time to feel how that works out. We have no open search out for an other guitar player. But we have asked someone who might be a good fit.
A preview upon our sound with three you can hear via the download area. We have a bad sound quality track upon there. Have fun with it! Further more the giging for the next period after the summer looks good. So we hope and somewhat expect to see you there.

Our last gig at Musicon was fun and to all of you who came, ... big thx!!! This was also the last gig of Mr.Kox on the sevenstring with us. He will go ..... well say ..... "PRO" in the music industry. He came trough the auditions for the kick-ass band called: Pimpersticker. He will not be on the guitar but he will be bashing the low end on the bass. With that and all the other things he does in tha Music-bizzzz he will not be able to combine it together with Marozia. We wish him all the best and you guyz and gallz be sure to check them out.
The trip goes on for us. Aslo with the help of Mr.Kox we are in the best shape as a whole and we are in fact already ready for many gigs to come. Mr.Betty (Bas) our hard hitting drummer (who again has destroyed his bassdrum skin) will be expecting his 2nd child and thus we will take it easy on the gigs for this spring and early summer. As of September we will go on kicking the stages/bars/festivals big time. We expect all your support of course.
But if cool gigs present them in between we will be rocking ready.

Heya there! This saturday (28th april) we will be rocking in Musicon with 3 other rocking (or what evah style) bands. 4 different chill bands and we are planned somewhere in the middle. We hope to see you all, ... be there at 20:30 or little later and you will not miss a thing.

Last gig in Subtunes Delfzijl was cool. It was a rough trip to get there due to bad weather and ice on the roads. Big thx to all of you who defied the weather gods together with us. It was quite dangerous to get back too but we haven't heard of any accidents. In any case it was cool to have played there. There are also some pictures so check these Pictures Subtunes out (Thx: Peter Renkema). More will be placed soon.

Although not physically there, but a big thx for the support from Finland.

We also have still some pictures coming up from our gig in Parkhof which were made by photographer Maikel Beers. When we have these they will be on the site of course.

Parkhof was fun and after quite some time not on stage it was rocking good to be on stage again. Big thx to all of you who came for us.
Further our new line-up is rocking more than ever. Although all is well we still are looking for a new lead vocalist. Why,... well our blond long haired one wants to pay more attention that thingy hanging with 6 strings.
Our first show will be in Subtunes, Delfzijl at saturday the 10th of february 2007. We are very happy to play there and well report of course how it was.

Hey you "Mother-Rockers". Well long time before an update. Working our butts off. Who, ... well that's something still to be announced. It might be that 2006 will have no gig's anymore, ... but never the less it might to be that we do some low profile gig's to get in shape for 2007.

Hey yall, ... it's time for a news update.
The last couple of weeks and this week too there some holiday's going on. However that doesn't mean nothing happens at the background.
We have made some investments to bring our live performances again to a higher level. (Something which is never ending I hope!) Mark my words, ... "It will be smoking" !!!
We also have custom made a nice "backdrop". For the ones who are not familiar with it: A backdrop is a large "flag-like thing" which we can hang behind at the back with "Marozia" in "style" on it.

Our first gig is on friday the 14th at Asgard in Beverwijk. This will be with our friends from Operation Trendkill. That will be cool and great fun.
I know that a bunch of people have already planned to party with us there so we hope to see you all. Keep on rocking yall.

We played at Geheim van Starsound yesterday. We met chill people who played great music. It was fun although there was a weird moment, still music is great!!! Big thx for all of you who came to see us and also to the organisation.

Well,... 2006 has begun and we have enjoyed our first "gig" in 2006. The crowd at So-Fest was great! :-) It was fun and for us a good start to get "the" feel again after the holidays.

We are prepping ourselves to be ready for the next gigs to come. There are a lot of ideas for new songs and that's great. Currently we have 3 new numbers which are getting in shape. It's our goal to have at least one but preferred two new songs "stage-ready" in January.

We are constantly working on 2 things. First improving the current set and second creating new songs. The second part is comming on nicely. We have a few weeks until our next gig so that gives us room to focus little bit more on that.

Well it's holliday time but that doesn't mean that nothing happens.
The names and positions of the 2 great persons who will strengthen Marozia are:

He will lay the foundations of our music. Low-end and slaps is what you can expect.

Lead vocal: Eba
She will astound you with here feel and expression in her voice.

The special gig at the Johannes school in Hillegom was a big succes. All the 400 kids went crazy. Rock on, yall & thx a lot. It was short but lot of fun.

Tomorrow at tuesday Marozia has a short but special performance of at the Johannes school in Hillegom.
We will play 2 numbers and are supported by 2 special guests. Amory is already having some holiday and Jeroen from the band Mayday is bashing the thick 5-string for that fat sound that Marozia needs and has. Other special guest performance is by Kyara. She will be joining the lead vocals with Eric and make a rocking show for the 400 kids that will be jumping up and down.

2Night, at 21:00 hours in the Storey Club, Akersloot. Be in time to Rock with Flow and Us.

You know Marozia as a true live band who plays with tons of enthusiasm and energy.
This is and will always be a constant in Marozia and thus will continue doing what it's supposed to do.
In short that is Rock the hell out every place.

But as change is a constant in life and Marozia is a part of it we will also have some changes ahead.
Our Deanbag has always enjoyed the time with us however wants to go into a musical direction where he will be at his best. Think about Deanbag and think about Dimebag. See the relation? He will pursue his musical interests where his heart is and will be trashing and riffing to a new musical direction. We wish him al the best and we are confident our he will come a very long way. This not being the only change because our 2 meter bass bashing monster Amory has also decided to part. He will pursue his own musical goals in a different way. We will support him wherever and whenever possible.

Now all you rocking readers of this shocking news. Do not worry, all planned gigs will continue and will have either these great guys there or new awesome players. There are already some candidates who are up for the chalenge.
We hope to bring you soon an update about these rocking new members. But until that time Deanbag en Amory will rock your brains out.

If you are afraid of what happens in the future, which we are not, come and join us in the present.
Rock the gigs with us and let make every moment a party.

Last sunday Niekark Alive was lots of fun. Of course we hope that we will be selected to play at the 23rd of july. Lots of thanks to the organisation and all people who supported us. We hope you have enjoyed the Marozia thing.

The only constant in life is change. Thus luckily also our dates section.
A few gig's have been planned, confirmed and set. But first things first.
Sunday Niekark Alive in Nijkerk. We hope to give all people a good show and that they will enjoy the Marozia thing.

Last Friday we played with Undeveloped at the De Franse Bulldog.
Cool guyz and we hope that they will continue to play where ever they can.
Our next planned gig will be at Niekark Alive.

Friday 20th of may a DVD will be made at the De Franse Bulldog. This is of course fun and also we hope that the quality will allow us to show something to you.
Join us again if you can and lets have some fun.

Furthermore are thinking about making some good quality tracks again. How, when and where is not decided yet. The "why" is very clear. Our sound has changed over time so much that all that's on our site is not representing what Marozia is at the very moment.

Our gig at the LVP bovenbar Leiden was fun. Thx for the good sound and we are glad to be asked to return this year at the yearend festival.

This friday the 22nd of april the LVP bovenbar Leiden will know who Marozia is. The doors open at 21:00 hours or sooner. We hope to see you all again and lets have some beers together before we will rock the place.

The gig in IJmuiden was chill. It's always nice to see so many bands giving what they got. Marozia will return in de Witte Theater October this year.

Futpop was fun and lots of thx to Puppi who rocks time and time again.
Today we will be rocking the Witte theater in IJmuiden. The festival starts at 15:00 hours and we will go on stage at 16:30 hours. Our playing time is merely 20 minutes so we hope everyone can enjoy the numbers we have chosen for this gig. We hope to see you all again for this but let us also enjoy the whole line-up of the day. Lot's of bands and lot's of fun.

Next weekend Marozia will have a few great gig's comming up. On saturday the 26th of march we will be in Delft closing the evening for the last extra round competition Futpop. We will not be part of the competition but will rock the place during the difficult judging job. Later that easter-weekend the 28th (monday) we will also be rocking the Witte theater in IJmuiden. This is for the competition of Noord Hollands Glorie. There will be a total of 12 bands during the afternoon and evening. This is something "ya-do-not-wanna-miss". Of course we hope to see all of you there so that we together can enjoy all the bands there and have a lot of fun.

KickStart Live was great. Almar, Stefan and all others of Radio80 thx for your energy! You rock. Pics are online but you can also see these and more on the KickStart Live website. Very soon we will put some tracks of this gig online as some parts of the interview.

Tomorrow we will be rocking Radio 80 KickStart Live You can hear but also see us live via stream Marozia at KickStart Live Sound only The program starts at 19:00 hours CET We will have you, our rocking audience, in our minds. You can also tune in at 105,9 Fm on the radio if you live between Schagen and Uitgeest or zapp to the local TV80 station in Bergen if you live there.

We are all working hard to get the Marozia engine fired up again. Working towards our first gig is very interesting. As the only constant in life is change. This will be at Radio 80 and the program is the rocking KickStart Live We will perform a few numbers which will be broadcasted life and for you to hear on the radio. But you will have to live somewhere between Beverwijk & Schagen. Tune in at 105,9 FM. It might be that the local TV station will also be there. But that remains uncertain.

Yesterday Stiels was rocked by us. The place was awesome, thx all for your fantastic support and cheers.

Yesterday we rocked Lisse again. Next is a very special gig at the rocking alternative night of Stiels in Haarlem, 05-02-2005 20:00 hours. You simply must be there. Line up: 1st Kitstone 2nd Marozia 3rd Dastard

This friday the 28th we will be rocking the Magnifiosi in Lisse, 21:30 hours. Hope to see you all there. There will be 3 other bands.

We had a great time at Het Vierkant in Lisse. Thanks to Xcusa for inviting us and thanks to the staff of Het Vierkant for a well organized evening. Photo's of this evening can be seen when you click on 'pics'.
